Steve Harris founded CTS in 1985.  Steve’s expertise was servicing HPLC instrumentation, and, having years of experience working for Waters Inc. as a service engineer, he wanted to provide labs with an alternative source for high quality maintenance and repair.
 
Shortly after starting the business, Steve began sourcing repair parts and discovered a receptive market for an alternative to the OEM.  For many years the repair parts business was a good complement to the service side of the company.  During this time, CTS developed strong relationships with its customers through genuine concern for their needs, which were met by reliable service and high quality parts.
 
In 2003, after gradually winding down the service side of the business, CTS devoted its efforts to creating exceptional HPLC repair parts.  As the focus at CTS moved toward being a premier alternative to OEM’s for HPLC repair parts, our aim was clear: Provide CTS replacement parts that are equivalent to the corresponding OEM part.
 
Another milestone was reached in 2006 when Steve formally stepped down as owner and sold the company to his son, Brett, who had worked in various roles within the business.
 
One constant at CTS has been a commitment to building relationships of trust through honesty, integrity and commendable work.  Understanding the expectations of our customers is at the core of our process for producing a quality product.  Our desired outcome from this process is to provide you with the repair parts you need, when you need them; all supplied by friendly, knowledgeable people at a reasonable price.
 
We hope that being in business since 1985 speaks volumes to the performance of our repair parts and testifies to our commitment to our valued customers.  However, we understand that establishing trust takes time.  That said, we are glad to extend a lifetime warranty on all CTS parts against any manufacturing defect.  We will work with you to try and resolve any issues you may have through warranty claims, product replacement or process improvement.
